Overview
Jennifer V. Ruiz is a Partner and the Director of Advancement for the firm based out of the Miami office. Her legal expertise is in general civil litigation, employment and labor, community association, civil rights, directors and officers liability, and professional malpractice in state and federal courts, at both trial and appellate levels.
Since 2023, Mrs. Ruiz has been ranked by Chambers USA for Litigation: General Commercial in Florida, a distinction awarded to the top practitioners based on client feedback, peer recognition, and significant case achievements.
While handling a robust caseload, Mrs. Ruiz also works to advance the firm through community involvement, marketing, client maintenance, and internal leadership, mentorship, and collaboration. As Director of Advancement, Mrs. Ruiz has implemented numerous policies/programs contributing to the growth, development, and advancement of female attorneys, creating a pathway to partnership. She founded CSK WIN, which focuses on recruiting, retaining, mentoring, and promoting female attorneys.
In addition to achieving favorable results for clients based on her thorough, strategic, and zealous advocacy skills, Mrs. Ruiz has also obtained selective appointments, such as: Dade Legal Aid’s Inaugural Leadership Academy; Miami-Dade County Judicial Circuit Professionalism Committee; Florida Bar Judicial Nominating Procedures Committee; U.S. District Court, SDFL Magistrate Selection and Hispanic Heritage Committees; U.S. Eleventh Circuit Amicus Curie.
Mrs. Ruiz earned her Juris Doctor degree with honors from Nova Southeastern University, where she served as an Articles Editor for the Nova Law Review, received honors for her pro bono service while in law school, and was the recipient of a scholarship granted by the Broward County Hispanic Bar Association for her academic achievements. Mrs. Ruiz earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the Florida State University, cum laude, where she was on the Dean’s List, National Dean’s List, a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and the Psi Chi National Honor Society for Psychology.
