Common non-immigrant business visas include:

1.           H1-B Professional visa: A non-immigrant visa for professionals with a Bachelors degree or higher.

2.           L Intracompany visa: A non-immigrant visa for certain employees of multinational companies.

3.           E Investor/Trader visa: A non-immigrant visa for citizens of treaty nations who engage in investment in or trade with the U.S.

4.           P Artist/Athlete visa: A non-immigrant visa for performers.

5.           O Exceptional Ability visa: A non-immigrant visa for persons exhibiting extraordinary ability in the arts, athletics, medicine, or business.

Immigrant visas for business purposes include:

1.           L Intracompany visa: An immigrant visa / green card for managerial or executive employees of multinational companies.

2.           E Investor visa: An immigrant visa / green card for citizens of treaty nations who engage in substantial investment with the U.S:

• EB-1A (Extraordinary Ability): An immigrant visa / green card for individuals with extraordinary ability in the sciences, arts, education, business, or athletics.

• EB-1C (Multinational Manager or Executive): An immigrant visa / green card for multinational managers or executives who have been employed for at least one of the last three years by an   overseas affiliate, parent, subsidiary, or branch of the U.S. employer.

• EB-2 (PERM Labor Certification): An immigrant visa / green card for persons with job offers from employers who have been unable to recruit qualified U.S. workers.

• EB-2 (National Interest Waiver - NIW): An immigrant visa / green card for individuals with exceptional ability or advanced degrees whose employment in the U.S. would greatly benefit the nation. This visa does not require a sponsor from a U.S. employer.

• EB-3 (Skilled Workers, Professionals, and Other Workers): An immigrant visa / green card for skilled workers with at least two years of training or experience, professionals with a U.S. bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent, and other workers for unskilled labor that is not temporary or seasonal.
• EB-5 (Immigrant Investor Program): An immigrant visa / green card for investors  with initial investment of at least $800,000 or $1,050,000 (depending on the project’s location) in a new commercial enterprise that will result in the employment of ten full-time U.S. Citizens.

3.           Labor Certification (PERM): An immigrant visa / green card for persons with job offers from employers who have been unable to recruit qualified U.S. workers.
