Defense Verdict – Slip and Fall – Ft. Lauderdale

Miami Partner David Herrero, and Plantation Partner Sanaz Alempour, obtained a complete defense verdict in Fort Lauderdale. Plaintiff claimed she slipped and fell on greasy mop water left on the floor at McDonald’s. Her husband immediately took pictures and testified that there were no signs and that they overheard employees stating they had used a dirty mop.

Plaintiff had two surgeries, including an SI joint fusion and left hand surgery.

Plaintiff’s counsel asked the jury for $1.6 million. The jury was out less than 40 minutes and returned with a complete defense verdict.
