Overview
Nicholas Michael Nash II is a Partner at the firm's Miami office, concentrating his practice on commercial litigation, employment litigation, intellectual property litigation, business law, country club, condominium, and homeowners' association law, and advising clients in corporate and transactional matters. Mr. Nash has consistently received designations from distinguished peer review publications and has been included in the Super Lawyers "Rising Stars" list, the Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America for commercial litigation and intellectual property litigation, and the Top 40 Under 40 Attorneys in South Florida by the National Black Lawyers.
Mr. Nash's litigation practice includes representing businesses in commercial matters including business disputes, contractual disputes, director & officer liability claims, partnership and shareholder disputes, intellectual property disputes, fraud claims, negligence claims, professional liability claims, employment matters, restrictive covenant litigation, and real estate disputes. His representative cases also include representing insurance companies that provide surety bonds and defending businesses against class actions and other aggregate litigation across a wide range of areas including consumer protection, financial services, securities, manufacturing, construction, telecommunications, intellectual property, employment, insurance, unfair business practices, and deceptive advertising.
Mr. Nash's transactional practice includes representing businesses, entrepreneurs, and investors in connection with day-to-day legal issues that will arise for operations in Florida including due diligence assistance, revision or creation of any corporate or transactional documents, internal procedure and policy statements, employee or independent contractor agreements, revision or creation of any operating agreements, corporate structuring, regulatory compliance, assistance with any general business matters and any other actions, activities, or responsibilities traditionally performed by general counsel to a corporation.
Mr. Nash is deeply passionate about achieving the best results for his clients. With a background in business start-ups, leadership, strategic planning, business development, e-commerce businesses, marketing, brand building, and advertising, Mr. Nash has a unique ability to create plans and strategize that enables him to provide strategic assistance to businesses and individuals seeking to capitalize on opportunities.
Mr. Nash received a B.A. in Economics with minor concentrations in Corporate Strategy and Mathematics from Vanderbilt University and began his career by earning his Juris Doctor from Florida International University College of Law. During law school, Mr. Nash was a member of the Entertainment, Arts, and Sports Law Society and the Phil Alpha Delta law fraternity and served as the Secretary of the Black Law Students Association. Additionally, Mr. Nash interned at a firm specializing in media and entertainment law and spent a term working for the Community Development Clinic assisting small businesses, entrepreneurs, and non-profit organizations with business formation, intellectual property, and transactional matters.
Mr. Nash is active in the community, has assisted in various pro bono legal matters through Legal Services of Greater Miami and Dade Legal Aid, and has worked on community engagement initiatives through the Innovative Community Engagement (ICE) Foundation.
Mr. Nash also serves as a certified, court-appointed Guardian ad Litem for Florida's 11th Judicial Circuit in Miami-Dade County.
