West Palm Beach Defense Verdict in Medical Malpractice Case

West Palm Beach Managing Partner Barry Postman and Partner Claire Hurley achieved a complete defense verdict following a 4-day medical malpractice trial held in Martin County. The case centered around allegations against an Otolaryngologist, who was accused of negligently performing a surgical procedure, allegedly leading to a perforation in the patient’s throat and subsequent significant complications.

Prior to trial, the co-Defendant, who bore vicarious liability for the alleged negligence of CSK’s client, opted to settle for $225,000. Despite this, the Plaintiff proceeded with the case, and their legal team requested $2.575 million in damages.

In a stunning conclusion, they returned their verdict in less than an hour and a half, absolving CSK’s client of the allegations.

The success of this case was bolstered by the efforts of Paralegal Myra Gonzalez and Greg Kaplan, whose assistance prior to and during trial contributed to the favorable outcome.
