West Palm Beach Managing Partner Barry Postman and Bonita Springs Partner Daniel Calvert recently secured a defense verdict in a two-week medical malpractice jury trial held in Broward County.
The Defendant, an Otolaryngologist represented by CSK, was sued by a fellow physician following a series of surgical procedures. The case involved allegations of altered medical records and substantial evidence of fraud concerning other documentation. The Plaintiff claimed to suffer from anxiety as a result of the surgeries and sought $1.4 million in damages.
After a thorough presentation of the defense, the jury deliberated for less than two hours before returning a verdict in favor of the Defendant.
