Miami Partner George Hooker and Fort Lauderdale East Partner Jose Campos achieved a complete defense verdict in a case involving a roof leak allegedly occurring in July 2020. The attorneys demonstrated that typical wind speeds in South Florida were not sufficient to damage the roof and that the damage pre-dated the loss, supported by testimony and photographs from a pre-purchase inspector hired by the Plaintiff and the carrier's underwriting photographs. The jury deliberated for 31 minutes before concluding that the Plaintiff did not prove wind-caused damage during the policy period.
Special thanks to Fort Lauderdale East Associate Sean Sabogal, , Associate Roi Koren, and Miami Paralegal Tammy Wolfe for their hard work and contributions in this successful case.
