Overview

Alexander S. Bistritz is a Partner at Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A.’s Fort Lauderdale East Offices’ Property Group. During his time at Cole, Scott and Kissane, Mr. Bistritz has zealously defended disputes arising from First Party insurance claims. His practice group focuses on the defense of first-party property insurance claims, including handling the litigation of numerous water, sinkhole, windstorm and hurricane, fire, SIU fraud and theft claims from the onset of litigation to finality. Mr. Bistritz has spearheaded training in new legislation regarding first-party property insurance claims and is certified by the DFS as an instructor for Continuing Education credits, focusing on the recent Senate Bill 2-A.

Mr. Bistritz was born and raised in the Miami area and graduated from the Florida International University College of Law. Prior to practicing law, Mr. Bistritz gained experience working with start-up companies in the Bio-Technology field, and thus has brought a unique, flexible, and creative mind frame to the numerous cases he handles at Cole, Scott & Kissane.

Before joining Cole, Scott & Kissane, Mr. Bistritz acquired additional experience in personal Injury, complex business litigation, and transactional matters. His experience includes litigation in personal injury disputes arising from slip and falls, auto accidents, medical malpractice, marine accidents, and premises liability, as well as landlord-tenant litigation, labor & employment litigation, and commercial litigation.

Mr. Bistritz is a member of the Florida Bar.

Mr. Bistritz has been recognized as a 2023 Florida Rising Star, by the Florida Super Lawyers Magazine.
