Sara L. Cortes

Sara Luisa Cortes is an Associate in the firm’s West Palm Beach office, where she focuses her practice on a variety of business-related disputes, including complex business litigation, banking and financial litigation, and professional liability. Her work includes evaluating claims and engaging in motion practice, discovery, and settlement negotiations.

Ms. Cortes graduated cum laude from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, a minor in English, and a Pre-Law Certificate. She earned her Juris Doctor and a Real Estate Law Certificate from St. Thomas University Benjamin L. Crump College of Law. While in law school, Ms. Cortes completed more than 100 hours of community service and served as a Law Clerk for the City of Hialeah City Attorney’s Office. During her final year, she clerked in the Real Estate Department of the City of Miami City Attorney’s Office.

Prior to joining Cole, Scott & Kissane, Ms. Cortes gained experience in transactional law, real estate law, business law, and employment law.

Outside of her legal practice, Ms. Cortes enjoys spending time with her son and partner and pursuing outdoor activities, including camping, kayaking, boating, fishing, and snorkeling.
