Mikaela del Carmen Rodriguez-Hicks is an Associate in the firm's Miami office and where she focuses her practice on arbitration and alternative dispute resolution, architects and engineers, business/commercial law, commercial litigation, construction, and general civil litigation.
Mrs. Rodriguez-Hicks attended Florida International University, where she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in International Communications. She subsequently earned her Juris Doctor from American University Washington College of Law.
While attending law school, Mrs. Rodriguez-Hicks served as a Note and Comment Editor on the American University International Law Review. She also worked as a student attorney in the Entrepreneurial Law Clinic, representing local small businesses and nonprofit organizations in Washington, D.C.
Prior to joining Cole, Scott & Kissane, Mrs. Rodriguez-Hicks clerked for Judge James A. Bonifant, Administrative Judge for the Circuit Court of Montgomery County, MD. She also gained experience working at a mid-Atlantic firm representing homeowner's associations, condominiums, and co-operative associations in D.C. and Maryland.
