Overview
Marlena Simon is an associate in the firm's Fort Lauderdale West office where she practices insurance defense claims. Marlena earned her Bachelor of Science undergraduate degree in Criminology and Psychology. After obtaining this degree, Marlena proceeded further to earn her Juris Doctorate from Florida State University College of Law.
During her time in law school, Marlena interned at the Innocence Project of Florida and worked as a Certified Legal Intern with Leon County's Public Defender's Office within the Second Judicial Circuit, in the juvenile division. Ms. Simon was also an active member of the Black Law Students' Association, even serving as their Treasurer.
Prior to joining Cole, Scott & Kissane, Ms. Simon worked as an Associate at a firm focusing primarily in the field of Criminal Defense and Personal Injury, where she first started as a law clerk while in law school. During her tenure at this firm, she was able to gain a plethora of experience with trials, hearings, depositions and mediations.
Ms. Simon is licensed to practice in the State of Florida.
