Maria Cielo Delgado Cerna is an Associate in the firm’s Orlando office, where she focuses her practice on civil litigation and insurance defense matters.

Ms. Delgado earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a minor in Sociology from the University of Central Florida in 2022. She went on to receive her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Barry University School of Law in 2025. 

During law school, Ms. Delgado earned the Book Award in Torts for achieving the highest grade in her class. She went on to serve as a Dean’s Study Fellow for Torts, Constitutional Law, and Business Organizations, mentoring fellow students in these foundational subjects.

Ms. Delgado gained valuable legal experience early in her career through an internship with the State Attorney’s Office during her first year of law school. She later broadened her experience by working in civil plaintiff litigation and in wills, trusts, and estates at boutique firm in St. Cloud, FL.

Before joining the firm as an Associate, Ms. Delgado participated in a variety of legal internships that strengthened her analytical and advocacy skills, laying a strong foundation for her current practice.
