Khalid Abdu Salim Smith is an Associate in the firm's Orlando office, focusing his practice on general civil litigation and insurance defense.
He graduated from Frostburg State University in Maryland, earning a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. He attended Penn State Law for his Juris Doctor studies, graduating in 2024. While at Penn State Law, Mr. Smith was a member of his school's Black Law Student Association (BLSA), holding executive board positions his second and third years.
He was also on the executive board of Penn State Law's Sports and Entertainment Law Society, serving as Treasurer in his second year and as President during his third year. Mr. Smith had the privilege of participating in Alternative Dispute Competitions since his first year in law school. He was a coach for the BLSA Negotiation Team his first and second year, while being the Director of the Nelson Mandel International Negotiation Competition for the National Black Law Student Association during his third year.
As a participant, Mr. Smith earned second place in the international Online Dispute Resolution Competition during his second year. He helped create the Alternative Dispute Resolution organization as its Chancellor of Finance. As a coach with the Alternative Dispute Resolution organization, Mr. Smith got third place in an online E-Sports negotiation competition, and helped coach a team to third place in the annual New York State Bar Association's Mediation Tournament.
