Overview

Jonathan Andres Fernandez is an Associate at the firm’s Fort Lauderdale West office, where he concentrates his practice on both state and federal civil litigation. His areas of focus include general civil litigation, complex business and commercial law, employment and labor law, civil rights law, construction law, and condominium and homeowners’ association law.

Mr. Fernandez earned his Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law, graduating ahead of schedule. During law school, he served on the NSU’s Board of Advocates, a competitive trial-team, where he competed on at a national level. He was also a member of the Journal of International Law and Comparative Studies as the Associate Bilingual Editor. He likewise authored a published article titled, “A Comparative Analysis of Privacy and Humanitarian Rights of Citizens Against Data Collection Through Artificial Intelligence Between the European Union and the United States: Will ChatGPT Own Your Data?”

Before attending law school, Mr. Fernandez earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Integrated Business from the University of Central Florida. While there, he competed in multiple business competitions and was an active member of several academic and cultural honor societies. He later attended the University of Florida, where he earned his master’s degree in International Business. During his time at UF, he served as a student ambassador and founded a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting children in need at Shands Hospital.

Mr. Fernandez, a first-generation Cuban-American and Florida native, grew up in Boynton Beach.
