Jessica Cayon

Jessica Cayon is an Associate in the firm's West Palm Beach office. She practices in the area of general liability, representing insureds and insurance carriers in a variety of civil litigation matters, including premises liability, professional liability, medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, and other negligence matters.

Ms. Cayon earned her Juris Doctor from Barry University Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law in 2019. While in law school, she participated in Barry Law's Juvenile Defense Clinic as a Certified Legal Intern, where she represented clients in court proceedings under attorney supervision. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, magna cum laude, from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2016.

Prior to joining Cole, Scott & Kissane, Ms. Cayon spent nearly five years practicing insurance defense. Her experience includes first party and third-party insurance matters, insurance coverage disputes, statutory interpleader actions, examinations under oath, and related civil litigation. Ms. Cayon has represented insurers throughout all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and depositions. She also has experience preparing insurance coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, and civil remedy notice responses, as well as advising insurance carriers regarding coverage, litigation strategy, and exposure.

Outside of the office, Ms. Cayon enjoys traveling, attending live music and theater performances, and spending time with family and friends.
