Cirilo Barrera Gonzalez is an Associate in the firm's Jacksonville office. He practices in general civil litigation, including vehicle negligence, premises liability, and insurance defense.
Mr. Barrera Gonzalez earned his Associates in applied Science in Criminal Justice Technology from Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College. He then attended Western Carolina University where he graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. Mr. Barrera Gonzalez attended Emory University School of Law where he received his Juris Doctor.
While in law school, Mr. Barrera Gonzalez participated in the Barton Juvenile Defender Clinic for 2 semesters. There, he provided legal representation for children in delinquency and status offense proceedings.
Prior to joining Cole, Scott & Kissane, Mr. Barrera Gonzalez interned at the Latin American Association. There, he provided legal assistance to immigrant communities seeking support with legal documentation and immigration forms.
Outside the practice of law, Mr. Barrera Gonzalez enjoys spending time with his family and gives a special thanks to them for believing in him.
