Overview
Amid Bennaim is an Associate in the firm's Miami office, where he concentrates his practice on construction defect litigation, general civil litigation, and real property disputes. He represents a broad spectrum of clients, including developers, contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, homeowners associations, landlords, and property owners.
Mr. Bennaim's practice spans both litigation and transactional matters related to construction. He frequently drafts and negotiates construction contracts and serves as general counsel to several prominent developers and general contractors, providing strategic legal guidance on navigating the complexities of the construction industry.
In his litigation practice, Mr. Bennaim advocates for developers, design professionals and contractors in high-stakes construction disputes, including cases involving tens of millions of dollars. Notably, he secured a full defense verdict in the jury trial of Eloquence on the Bay Condo. Ass’n, Inc. v. CDC Builders, Inc., No. 16-9912-CA-43 (Fla. 11th Cir. Ct. 2016), a multimillion-dollar construction defect case.
Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, Mr. Bennaim immigrated to Miami, Florida as a child. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Civilizations from Boston University, graduating magna cum laude, and later received his Juris Doctor, with honors, from the University of Miami School of Law. There, he was awarded the Dean's Merit Scholarship, a full academic scholarship, and served as an Articles & Comments Editor for the Inter-American Law Review. He earned the Dean’s Certificate of Achievement in Federal Income Tax and appeared on the Dean’s List for multiple semesters.
Outside of his legal practice, Mr. Bennaim actively contributes to his community. He serves on the Board of the Young Leadership Division of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation and has worked extensively with youth leadership programs that foster civic responsibility and leadership skills in teenagers. Together with his spouse, he supports several South Florida charities focused on hunger relief, poverty reduction, and care for orphans.
Prior to his undergraduate education, Mr. Bennaim served as a Non-Commissioned Officer in an infantry battalion of the Israel Defense Forces.
