Full Defense Verdict in Trip and Fall Case in Palm Beach County, FL

West Palm Beach Partners John Chiocca and Kristina Correa obtained a Full Defense Verdict in a Trip and Fall case in Palm Beach County. This was a case in which Plaintiff’s Counsel claimed that Plaintiff had fallen at the site of an undisputed code violation on a property.  During our attorneys’ skillful cross-examination, Plaintiff admitted that the fall was not at the location of the code violation, as her attorneys claimed, but rather a couple feet away. There was no evidence of a dangerous condition to cause the fall, and the jury found no liability on the part of our client. Plaintiff had undergone a two-level cervical fusion and a three-level lumbar fusion following the fall and incurred roughly $625k in medical bills. Plaintiff’s Counsel asked for over $5.3M at the close of their case, but the jury awarded a Full Defense Verdict.

Special thanks to Associates Andrew Goodman and Sophia Gambina, and Paralegal Frances Raab for their trial support.
