Fort Lauderdale East Partner Craig Minko and Associate Natalia Morales recently achieved favorable outcomes in two Fair Housing Act complaints brought before the Broward County Human Rights Section. The complaints were filed by a renter of a condominium unit against both a condominium association and its property management company in Hollywood, FL. The renter alleged discrimination based on race.
After an extensive investigation that began in February 2023, including submission of a comprehensive response, multiple requests for information and documentation, and ongoing communication, the Broward County Human Rights Section issued two detailed 7-page determinations and dismissals. The findings concluded that there was no reasonable cause to support allegations of discrimination by the association or property management company under the Fair Housing Act or the Broward County Human Rights Act.
