Dismissal in Fair Housing Act Complaint in Palm Beach County

Fort Lauderdale East Partner Craig Minko, and Associate Jenna Updike obtained a determination of no reasonable cause and dismissal of a Fair Housing Act complaint filed by a prospective condominium purchaser and their caretaker. The complaint, reviewed by the Palm Beach County Office of Equal Opportunity (OEO), centered on claims of discrimination based on disability.

Following a thorough investigation spanning over a year, including comprehensive submissions by Mr. Minko and Ms. Updike, responses to numerous information requests, and defense of client interviews, the OEO determined that no reasonable cause existed to support the complaint. Both the Fair Housing Act and Palm Beach County Housing Ordinances were found not to have been violated, and the complaint was dismissed.
