Max Bender
I am a Claims Specialist at HDI Global, with over 7 years of experience in the London Market. I work within the US Delegated Authority team – handling: US Property, US General Liability, and Cyber claims. I joined HDI in June 2024 and now hold over 6 years claims handling experience. I am also part of the IUA NextGen Claims Committee.
James Bradley
James has 3 years experience handling insurance claims in the North American Property D&F market, as well as international Onshore Energy, Mining and PVT claims experience. He presented at the Property Insurance Claims Group (PICG) Conference in 2024 on the impact of failing infrastructure on Property claims, and sits on the LMA Emerging Professionals Committee. James prides himself in building strong relationships, both within his team and with other insurance market professionals at home and abroad. He brings a focused and dedicated approach to the continuing growth and innovation of insurance claims.
Zoe Butcher
I started my insurance career with Amwins Global Risks which was nearly 9 years ago. I was initially the division’s Personal Assistant until 2017 when Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria hit – this was when I assisted the claims team and then, joined them full time in 2018 – and have never looked back! I predominantly work on Property, but we are now growing more in the Liability space which I am enjoying learning more about.
Ellen Chaney
Ellen joined Hamilton Insurance Group over two years ago as a Property Claims Underwriter, handling binding authorities and D&F open market claims, primarily in North America. She has been in the insurance industry for over seven years and has experience in claims adjusting and broking across various territories and classes of business.
Maisy Dare
Maisy is a claims technician specializing in North American Professional indemnity claims at Ryan Speciality Underwriting Agency (formally Castel). She joined the London insurance market to gain ‘on the job experience’ shortly after completing her A-level exams in 2023. In this former role she handled US property claims. She now studies the Chartered Insurance Institute exams and regularly attends Lloyd’s emerging insurance issue discussions. Outside of work Maisy enjoys her horse-riding hobby.
Jo Foster
Jo Foster is a Senior Property Claims Handler at Convex. She joined Convex in January 2025. She previously worked at Allianz Global Corp & Specialty for 10 years handling Property & Entertainment claims
Giulio Muzzi
I am a senior claims broker at Bowood, working within the Bowood claims team. I am CII Cert qualified, and I have been in the insurance industry for 5 years. In my current role, my primary focus is on property claims for both household and commercial insureds, as well as casualty claims, mainly in the USA and Canada. Additionally, I am involved in various other business classes and territories. Prior moving into the London insurance market and joining Bowood, I spent a year working at Mazars LLP within their financial planning division, supporting the private client financial planners team.
Simmy Nart
I have worked in claims for around 7 years, and predominantly handle property and casualty claims. Before I handled claims, I worked as a loss adjuster on the renewable energy side.
Calum Stevens
I am a Claims Advocate operating within NA Property Binders at Price Forbes. Currently, served just over two years in the London Market, managing claims for transportation risks such as Trucking along with Property for Household & Commercial Insureds. I am actively working towards my Diploma in CII and look forward to enhancing my knowledge via the Claims Academy.
Jade Watt
Casualty Claims Analyst with a focus on General Liability and Auto Liability, and additional experience in Property D&F. A recent entrant to the Lloyd’s Market, I bring a fresh perspective shaped by a strong foundation in legal research and analysis, developed through both professional experience and academic training. Currently pursuing a Master’s in Law, building on my undergraduate legal studies.
Michael Whiffin
I started in insurance in 2016 with Tysers where I worked as a claims broker on US property and trucking files as well as non-US property. I moved to TMK to work as a claims adjuster, where I handled rest of the world (non-US) binder claims. After a year at Nephila I moved to my current position as claims adjuster in the property claims team at ARK, handling open market and binder claims from a global portfolio.
George White
I am a General Liability Claims Underwriter at Hiscox, having joined in June 2024. I have been in the insurance industry for 5 years following completion of my law degree and I achieved the ACII certification earlier this year. I am proud to co-chair the Pride Network at Hiscox as well as being an active member of the Hiscox London Market Charity Committee.
