Miami Partners Giancarlo Nicolosi and Michael Brand recently secured a complete defense verdict in an auto liability case tried in Miami.
The Plaintiff alleged that the Defendant, while using a mobile phone, cut off her vehicle and caused a collision. As a result, the Plaintiff claimed to have undergone neck surgery, incurred $360,000 in past medical expenses, and faced a pending three-level spinal fusion. The Defendant maintained that the Plaintiff was responsible for the accident.
Plaintiff’s counsel requested a total of $3.4 million in damages. After four hours of deliberation, the jury returned a verdict in favor of the Defendant on all claims.
