Overview
Ms. Michaud is an associate in the firm’s Miami office. She has experience defending insurer bad faith litigation, civil rights claims, negligent security claims, condominium cases, professional malpractice claims, cyber security and wire fraud matters, and Errors and Omissions cases, including claims brought against insurance brokers and agents. Her practice focuses on the defense of insurance agents, attorneys, title agents, closing agents, and other professionals sued for professional negligence and malpractice.
Ms. Michaud graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in International Finance and Marketing, with minors in Political Science and Theatre Arts. She later received her Juris Doctorate from American University Washington College of Law. During law school, Vanessa served as a Note & Comment Editor for the American University Business Law Review and as a student attorney for the Glushko-Samuelson Intellectual Property Law Clinic.
Currently, Ms. Michaud is a member of the Board of Directors of the Coral Gables Bar Association, as well as a member of the Cuban-American Bar Association.
Ms. Michaud is admitted to practice before all county and circuit courts in the state of Florida and is fluent in both English and Spanish.
