Kristy J. Alvarez is a partner in the firm’s Miami office. She practices in the areas of General Civil Litigation, Construction (including Complex Business Litigation), Catastrophic and Personal Injury, Premises Liability, and Vehicle Negligence.

Ms. Alvarez graduated with honors (cum laude) from the University of Miami School of Law earning a J.D. / LL.M. in International Arbitration. She graduated with high honors (summa cum laude) from Florida International University earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications/Public Relations, and a Minor in Psychology.

In law school, Ms. Alvarez earned Dean’s List honors and was a Staff Editor on the University of Miami Race and Social Justice Law Review. She was the sole recipient of the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Constitutional Law. Additionally, Ms. Alvarez was Vice President of the International Moot Court Program and competed in the UBA-Rosario International Moot Court Competition, being awarded “Best Oralist” of the 200 participating students.  Ms. Alvarez has been inducted into the Hall of Fame of the UBA-Rosario Moot Competition - 2014 Best Oralist Award 2014 (VII Edition, Lima).

Before entering law school, Ms. Alvarez worked as a Senior Account Executive in the mortgage industry. While in law school, Ms. Alvarez served as Judicial Intern for the Honorable Bronwyn C. Miller, Miami-Dade County Circuit Court Judge. She also gained trial experience as a Certified Legal Intern for the Office of the State Attorney for Miami-Dade County. Prior to joining CSK, Ms. Alvarez practiced at a boutique litigation firm in the areas of Premises Liability, Medical Malpractice, and Vehicle Negligence.

Ms. Alvarez is fluent in Spanish.
