Overview

Ashley M. Fields is an associate in our Jacksonville office, practicing in the area of general defense litigation, with an emphasis upon Catastrophic and Personal Injury, Insurance Coverage and Carrier Representation, Premises Liability, Product Liability, Trucking Accident Defense, Vehicle Negligence and Security Negligence.. Prior to joining Cole, Scott & Kissane, Ms. Fields gained significant experience in several aspects of corporate litigation as an associate at a well- known workers’ compensation defense firm. Specifically, she handled matters involving workers’ compensation defense, insurance defense, and civil liability defense. She gained valuable trial and appellate practice experience, handling matters before the Florida First DCA, County and Circuit Courts, and the Judge of Compensation Claims. She also appeared before the State and Superior Court of Georgia for civil matters.

Ms. Fields earned a Bachelor of Arts in Pre-Law/Legal Studies from Virginia Intermont College. While at VI, she was a member of both the softball and women’s soccer teams, serving as captain for both teams her senior year. She was inducted into the Cardinal Key National Honor Society, and was selected as a member of the Virginia Sports Information Directors Association (VaSID) Academic All-State Team for 2009-2010. She also served on the Student Athlete Advisory Committee in 2011 and 2012.

Ms. Fields moved to Jacksonville from Blountville, Tennessee in 2013 and ultimately earned her Juris Doctorate degree from Florida Coastal School of law in 2016. While at Florida Coastal, she served as a member of the Sports Law Society Executive Board and received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Remedies. She was also a three-year member of the Coastal co-ed softball team, travelling to Charlottesville, Virginia to participate in the UVA Law Softball Invitational against teams up and down the East Coast.

Ms. Fields continues to enjoy playing softball and volleyball, the beach, and spending time with her family and her two-year old bluetick coonhound, Ellie-Mae. She is an avid sports fan, sup- porting the Jags, Atlanta Braves, her beloved Tennessee Volunteers, and anyone who beats the Gators or Bama.
