Overview
Zachery I. Sobel is an Associate in the firm’s Tampa Office. His practice focuses on civil litigation with an emphasis on the following areas: first party property; SIU insurance fraud defense; general liability; bodily injury liability; and insurance coverage and bad faith exposure.
Mr. Sobel graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.A. in Psychology in 2015. Coming out of high school, he was the fourth-ranked amateur golfer in America and additionally was a Pinellas All-County high school baseball player. In 2009, he earned a full golf scholarship to play on the Ohio State Men’s Varsity Golf Team. At Ohio State, Mr. Sobel earned the Scholar-Athlete honors for his work on the course and in the classroom. He also volunteered over 200 hours at the Ronald McDonald House of Columbus, OH – the premiere housing center for underprivileged youth in need of medical treatment. Following his sophomore year at Ohio State, he pursued golf professionally for two years, and returned to graduate from Ohio State in 2015.
Mr. Sobel earned his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. While in law school, he completed his first year judicial clerkship with the Honorable James R. Stearns in the 6th Judicial Circuit Unified Family Court where he became intimately familiar with Florida’s Child Proceedings Statutes. He also completed a second-year legal externship with the City of Cincinnati Prosecutor’s Office, where his diligent work helped secure countless convictions. Following his second year of law school, Mr. Sobel completed an internship with Gassman, Crotty, and Denicolo, P.A., a highly prestigious Florida-based boutique estate planning law firm.
