Overview
William L. Upham is an Associate in the firm’s Fort Myers office. He focuses his practice on catastrophic and personal injury, federal practice, general civil litigation, insurance defense litigation, premises liability, product liability, security negligence, trucking accident defense, and vehicle negligence.
During his tenure at Florida State University School of Law, Mr. Upham attended the U.S. Marine Corps Officer Candidates School during the summers of his first and second year. After earning his commission in the Marine Corps, Mr. Upham served as a legal intern with the Office of Attorney General Ashley Moody in the Consumer Protection division. Mr. Upham also served as a State Prosecutor with the Office of the State Attorney, 1st Judicial Circuit. He completed a legal internship as a Student Judge Advocate in Quantico and was medically retired from the Marine Corps in 2025.
Prior to law school, Mr. Upham interned with Congressman Steve Womack. He also worked as a Deputy Field Director for former Congresswoman Barbara Comstock's 2016 re-election campaign. Mr. Upham managed a large book of business as an Account Executive for R2 Logistics, a third-party logistics provider in the shipping industry.
