Tasha Somarriba




Tasha M. Somarriba is a partner at the Firm's Miami office.  She concentrates her practice on state and federal civil litigation matters, including first party property litigation, labor and employment law, and condominium and homeowners’ association litigation.  Ms. Somarriba implemented a comprehensive litigation strategy for a statewide insurance carrier related to lawsuits involving insureds and mitigation companies pursuant to an election-to-repair policy provision.

Ms. Somarriba graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Criminal Justice.  She attended Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center, where she received her Juris Doctorate, magna cum laude.  While in law school, she served as a Senior Associate of Nova Law Review for three years.  Additionally, she was on the Dean’s List and received the Book Award for obtaining the highest grade in Civil Procedure.

Prior to attending law school, Ms. Somarriba served as a crime scene investigator for a local police department.  She most recently worked as a paralegal and staff assistant at the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office for seven years.
