Sonia N. Wakefield is an Associate in the firm's Fort Lauderdale West office, where she practices civil litigation for the firm's Personal Injury Protection (PIP) division.
She earned Bachelor of Art degree in Political Science at Fordham University in New York and her Juris Doctor at Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law in Fort Lauderdale.
Ms. Wakefield immediately began her legal career as a State Prosecutor in the 20th Judicial Circuit and also practiced as a State Prosecutor in the 15th Judicial Circuit where she gained extensive experience in criminal law. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Wakefield was an NYPD police detective which developed her skills in negotiation, fact finding and legal analysis.
