Overview
Rafael J. Centeno is an Associate in the firm’s Miami office, where his practice focuses on defending claims involving premises liability, property damage, and contractual disputes.
Mr. Centeno earned both his Master of Laws (LL.M.) and Juris Doctor from Florida International University College of Law, where he served as President of the International Dispute Resolution Club and as a Teaching Assistant for the International Arbitration course. He is a published author in the areas of international arbitration and intellectual property and has contributed to the field through both academic research and practical engagement. He also served on the editorial board of the World Arbitration and Mediation Review (WAMR).
Prior to his work in the U.S., Mr. Centeno earned his LL.B. magna cum laude from Universidad Monteávila in Caracas, Venezuela. He has authored articles on the intersection of smart contracts, arbitration, and IP law, and has earned certifications for International Commercial Terms (INCOTERMS) from the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), and Legal Research from Lexis and Thomson Reuters.
