Overview
Rachel Chewning is a partner in the Jacksonville office. She practices in the areas of Product Liability, Catastrophic and Personal Injury, Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Litigation, Consumer Law, Commercial Litigation, Liquor Liability Defense, Trucking Accident Defense, Class Action, Vehicle Negligence, Premises Liability and General Civil Litigation. Her practice focuses on providing aggressive representation to clients on both a local and national level and participating as local counsel in the defense of mass torts, MDL and class action lawsuits.
Mrs. Chewning has substantial experience in litigation. Prior to joining the firm, she worked at the 4th Circuit Public Defender’s Office where she tried dozens of jury trial cases including as co-counsel in the Major Crimes Division. After leaving the Public Defender’s Office, she litigated hundreds of civil actions for national banks across the state.
Mrs. Chewning is admitted to practice in all State Courts within the State of Florida and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. She assists as national coordinating counsel and as local counsel in national lawsuits that are part of a Multi-District Litigation.
Mrs. Chewning is a life-long Jacksonville resident and she obtained her undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Criminology in 2001, cum laude, from the University of Florida. She earned her J.D. in 2007, cum laude, from the University of Florida.
