Madeline Chmelir is an associate with the firm’s Tampa office. She practices within our General Liability team focusing in the areas of general civil litigation, catastrophic and personal injury, premises liability, and vehicle negligence.

Ms. Chmelir obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Florida. In undergrad, Ms. Chmelir began volunteering with the Guardian ad Litem Program in the 8th Judicial Circuit before transferring to the 6th Judicial Circuit. Upon graduation, she moved to St. Petersburg, Florida, where she earned her Juris Doctor degree from Stetson University College of Law, graduating cum laude. During law school, Ms. Chmelir received the highest-grade distinction in her Disability Law Seminar and assisted as a teaching assistant for Research & Writing I and II. She also served as a Stetson Law Ambassador and member of Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honor Society.

Prior to joining Cole, Scott & Kissane, Ms. Chmelir was a law clerk for a Plaintiff’s personal injury and employment law firm in Tampa, Florida. Her previous experiences have allowed her a unique perspective for the cases she now handles.
