Carita Skinner




Carita Skinner works in the firm's Orlando office. She concentrates her practice in the areas of general and complex civil litigation; community association law; business/commercial law; country club, condominium and homeowners' association law; and directors and officers.

Carita received her J.D., magna cum laude, from Florida A&M University College of Law. Carita was the Associate Articles Editor of Florida A&M University Law Review, chair of the Advocacy Board, and earned the book award for the highest grade in five different classes. Carita also served as an intern to the Honorable Brian D. Lambert of the Fifth District Court of Appeal, as a research assistant to Professor Randall S. Abate, and as a student assistant for Florida A&M's Legal Research and Writing Department. While in law school, Carita competed in an alternative dispute resolution mediation competition and six moot court competitions, one of which involved delivering an argument before the Florida Supreme Court in winning the statewide Robert Orseck Memorial Moot Court Competition. She also won Best Oral Advocate at the Pepperdine National Entertainment Law Moot Court Competition and earned semifinalist honors in the Cardozo BMI National Entertainment and Media Law Moot Court Competition.

Prior to law school, Carita worked in the medical field and holds a bachelor's degree in Molecular and Microbiology from the University of Central Florida.
