Overview
Cala Sara Iglesias is an Associate in the firm's Miami office, where she primarily focuses her practice on the areas of business litigation, intellectual property, general counsel services, class actions, commercial litigation, employment litigation, consumer law, and condominium and homeowners' association disputes.
Ms. Iglesias graduated summa cum laude from the University of Florida, where she double majored in Criminology and Political Science. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Florida International University College of Law, graduating cum laude with a certificate in Intellectual Property.
Prior to joining Cole, Scott & Kissane as an Associate, Ms. Iglesias worked as a Summer Associate and Law Clerk with the firm and participated in U.S. District Judge Beth Bloom's Judicial Intern Academy where she gained invaluable knowledge on the practice of law. During the school year, Ms. Iglesias also worked as a teaching assistant to Professor Rima Mullins for the Legal Skills and Values II course where she assisted students in preparing their appellate briefs and oral arguments.
During law school, Ms. Iglesias excelled as an executive board member of the Moot Court Board of Appellate Advocates, where she competed and placed among the top writers and oralists in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition U.S Eastern Regionals. She earned two prestigious book awards in Legal Skills and Values I and Fashion & Design Law. Ms. Iglesias proudly served as the Vice President of both the Women's Law Society and the Cuban American Bar Association.
Ms. Iglesias was born and raised in Miami, FL and is the proud daughter of Cuban immigrants.
