Summary Judgment Obtained in High-Exposure Brain Injury Case

Attorneys Dan Klein and Brad Sturges obtained Summary Judgment in the matter of Pena v. Design Build Interamerican, venued in Dade County.  Plaintiff was an employee of a plumbing subcontractor for a large construction project and suffered severe brain injuries after falling approximately 20 feet while installing ventilation pipe. Plaintiff’s attorney was seeking in excess of $50 million in damages.  CSK represented the General Contractor for the project and our attorneys successfully argued that our client had statutorily-provided immunity under Florida’s workers compensation law.
