Orlando Administrative Partner Jeffrey Partlow and Associate Allaa Tayeb obtained a dismissal with prejudice in a highly-contested case in Lee County. The case involved a developer of a 100-acre private island accused of failing to maintain and repair the island and its amenities. The developer counterclaimed against the property owners' association and 12 individuals for allegedly interfering with the sale of the island and conspiring to drive down the purchase price. After extensive litigation through the pleading stage, the counterclaims were dismissed with prejudice. The court found that the clients could not tortiously interfere as a matter of law based on the terms of the contract to sell the island.
