Yesenia Fatima Lara, an associate in the Miami office, handles an active trial practice in the areas of condominium law, commercial litigation, security negligence, and personal injury/wrongful death litigation within Florida.
Mrs. Lara was born in Miami, Florida, and attended the University of Florida, from which she received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Criminology with a minor in Latin American Studies. She obtained her law degree at Florida State University College of Law, from which she also received a certificate in International Law.
Mrs. Lara is a member of the Florida Bar, the D.C. Bar, the bar of the United States District Court for the Southern, Middle and Northern District of Florida, and the bar for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the Seventh Circuit.
In addition to her legal work, Mrs. Lara has served on the Community Zoning Appeals Board for Area/Subarea 14-142 in Miami-Dade County. From May 2017 through May 2018, Mrs. Lara also sat on the Miami-Dade County Urban Expansion Area Task Force which was established by Miami-Dade County Mayor, Carlos Gimenez. She is also a member of the Florida Bar’s Judicial Nominating Procedures Committee.
