Vanessa Seblano is an associate at the firm’s Fort Lauderdale West office. Her practice areas include Catastrophic and Personal Injury, Vehicle Negligence, Fraud Litigation, Insurance Coverage and Carrier Representation, Personal Injury Protection (PIP), and SIU Insurance Fraud Defense.
Ms. Seblano graduated summa cum laude from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science and double major in Legal Studies and Criminal Justice. She then graduated summa cum laude from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center where she earned her Juris Doctorate.
While in law school, Ms. Seblano was an active member of the Nova Trial Association, Moot Court Society, and Nova Law Review. In addition to serving on the executive board of the Nova Trial Association, she represented Nova Southeastern University in several trial advocacy and moot court competitions nationwide. Ms. Seblano was the sole recipient of the Student Bar Association’s Academic Excellence Award and she was later inducted into the National Order of the Barrister for excellence in trial advocacy.
Prior to joining Cole, Scott & Kissane, Ms. Seblano worked as an Assistant State Attorney for the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit of Florida. During her time as an Assistant State Attorney, she prosecuted thousands of felony and misdemeanor cases and tried almost thirty jury trials to verdict.
Ms. Seblano was recognized by her peers as a Florida Super Lawyer Rising Star in 2018-2020.
