Simon Lassel is a partner in the firm’s Miami Office. Mr. Lassel practices in the areas of commercial litigation, labor and employment law, professional liability litigation, and property insurance litigation. Mr. Lassel has experience litigating cases on behalf of Plaintiffs and Defendants involving: contractual disputes, business transaction law, employment disputes, discrimination charges, foreclosure, property insurance law, premises liability, negligence, lease agreements, condominium law, among others. Mr. Lassel has experience conducting pre-suit negotiation and litigating cases to trial and through the appellate process. Mr. Lassel strives to be responsive and work hard for his clients, while seeking to tailor legal solutions to meet his client’s individual needs. Mr. Lassel’s goal is to provide the highest quality service to meet the needs of each individual client.
Mr. Lassel earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Temple University and a Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University. Prior to law school, Mr. Lassel worked in compliance and later in operations for the international settlements desk for State Street Bank and Trust, one of the largest institutional banks in the country. There he gained valuable first-hand experience in corporate financial compliance, international securities lending, dividend arbitrage and asset transfers.
Before coming to Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A., Mr. Lassel practiced in the fields of real estate, corporate and family law having first chaired over sixty jury and non-jury trials and has several published appeals.
