Overview
Sheila Gonzales Jonasz is a Partner in the firm’s Miami office with an active trial practice in a wide variety of areas, including medical malpractice, catastrophic injury, wrongful death, premises liability, vehicle negligence, Title IX, sexual assault and harassment and other types of complex litigation. Ms. Gonzales Jonasz' experience in medical malpractice and health-care related litigation is extensive, having defended and served as trial counsel for medical professionals, healthcare staffing agencies, nurses, hospitals, and dentists. She has also represented health care providers in claims brought by the Florida Department of Health Administration.
Ms. Gonzales Jonasz is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), which is an invitation-only national organization of top-tier plaintiff and defense lawyers and judges. She is also a volunteer for ABOTA Miami Chapter’s Pro Bono Guardian Ad Litem program for the 11th Judicial Circuit.
Ms. Gonzales Jonasz received her Juris Doctor degree from DePaul College of Law and her Bachelor of Science degree from Loyola University of Chicago, graduating cum laude.
