Shane Spencer was an associate of Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A.’s Tampa office. It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness that we grieve the loss of Shane at this time through no fault of his own resulting from a fatal car accident that occurred on June 1, 2020.
Shane attended the Central Michigan University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Business Law and Economics. While at Central Michigan, Shane was an active member in the community, co-chairing his fraternity’s food drive, which received national recognition for their efforts from various organizations. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from Florida State University College of Law. While in law school, Shane made the Dean’s List and received the distinguished pro bono service award for his volunteer work with the Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel. He was an avid New England Patriots fan.
Shane has been an esteemed and valued member of the CSK Family in our Tampa office since 2016. He was one of the brightest associates and a privilege to have with the firm. Shane embodied all that you could ever ask for in a friend and colleague. He was kind, considerate and a positive influence to everyone around him. You could not be around Shane without sharing his enthusiasm and smile. Those who were lucky enough to know Shane are better for it. It’s hard to forget someone who gave us so much to remember, and he will be truly missed.
Shane is survived by his parents, siblings and his dog Gronk, as well as many, many friends. Funeral arrangements have not yet been made and we will update you as we learn more. Please keep Shane’s family in your thoughts and prayers through this difficult time.
