Samuel Padua is an associate with the firm’s Ft. Lauderdale West office. Mr. Padua concentrates his practice on various areas of construction law, including representation of developers, contractors, and subcontractors in construction defect, contract, and lien enforcement claims. He also represents design professionals in professional liability claims.
Before joining the firm, Mr. Padua was a professional in the construction industry for 18 years. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico in 1992 and has been a Professional Engineer since 1993. Shortly after his graduation he started working in the construction industry, first in the electrical wiring business, then in general construction and construction management. Most of his experience in construction is in the heavily regulated pharmaceutical and biotechnological industries where Mr. Padua successfully managed and completed many complex multi-million dollar projects.
Mr. Padua earned a Juris Doctorate from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico in 2006. He is admitted to practice in Puerto Rico and Florida. He is also practiced in the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
