Ryan M. Charlson is a Partner in the firm’s Ft. Lauderdale West office. He is a member of the firm’s Construction Group and focuses his practice on construction, products liability, real estate, and insurance coverage disputes. Prior to joining Cole, Scott & Kissane, Mr. Charlson practiced at a national firm that specializes in construction litigation, and more recently, he worked as in-house counsel for one of the nation’s largest real estate developers.
Mr. Charlson received his Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois, where he graduated cum laude and achieved the Dean’s List all semesters. During law school, Mr. Charlson served as Editor-in-Chief of The John Marshall Law Revieiw and was a member of the Trial Advocacy and Dispute Resolution Honors Council. Prior to law school, Mr. Charlson attended Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. There, he was active in the Drake International Business Society and Delta Sigma Pi, a professional business fraternity. After earning his undergraduate degrees and before attending law school, Mr. Charlson worked in the insurance industry as an underwriter.
Mr. Charlson is admitted to The Florida Bar, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
