Miguel is an associate in the firm’s Orlando office. He works in the general liability practice group defending a broad range of cases including automobile negligence, premises liability, negligent security, and products liability. Prior to joining the firm, he was an associate attorney at a prominent insurance defense law firm where he worked on general liability and first party property cases. Miguel began his legal career as an assistant public defender where he tried numerous jury trials and handled motion hearings with success.
In law school, Miguel participated in selective co-curricular organizations to improve his trial advocacy and research skills. He was a member of the UF Trial Team and an Executive Research Editor for the Journal of Law & Public Policy, an interdisciplinary law journal that selects its student members based on exceptional writing and research skills.
While at UCF, Miguel earned the Best Master of Arts Thesis Award and the Graduate Research Forum Best in Category Award for his published master’s thesis. Miguel also received the Order of Pegasus award, the most prestigious and significant award a student can attain at the University of Central Florida.
