Matthew Tolnay is an associate of Cole, Scott & Kissane’s Tampa office. His practice focuses on the defense of claims involving personal injury, commercial and residential properties, premises liability, property damage, and landlord/tenant disputes.
Mr. Tolnay earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Central Florida and his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law, where he graduated with Honors.
During his time at the University of Miami, Mr. Tolnay worked as a law clerk for the University’s Human Rights Clinic specializing in immigration and deportation cases.
After graduating from law school, Mr. Tolnay began his career as an Assistant Public Defender for the 13th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida, in Tampa, Florida. During his time as an Assistant Public Defender, Mr. Tolnay handled more than three thousand cases in County and Circuit Court. Mr. Tolnay tried more than fifteen jury and non-jury trials before joining Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A.
