Lisa Ann Thomas is an Associate Attorney in the firm’s Orlando office, where she focuses her practice in the area of Workers’ Compensation Defense.
Ms. Thomas was born and raised in Central Florida. She attended the University of Florida where she studied Journalism and Communications. In 2006, while still in college, Ms. Thomas began working at a Gainesville-based personal injury law firm. Ms. Thomas also volunteered as a Guardian ad Litem (a court-appointed child advocate) for the 8th Judicial Circuit.
After college, Ms. Thomas returned to the Orlando area, where she worked for firms handling estate planning, corporate law, medical malpractice, personal injury and product liability matters.
Ms. Thomas attended law school at Florida A&M University in Orlando, Florida. While at FAMU, Ms. Thomas was on the Dean’s List and received two book awards – one in Race and the Law and the one in Pre-Trial Practice.
After law school, Ms. Thomas worked at an Orlando firm where she handled personal injury and medical malpractice matters. She is admitted to practice in all Florida courts, as well as in Federal court in Florida’s Central, Northern and Southern Districts.
Ms. Thomas is a member the Orange County Bar Association, and serves as co-chair of the OCBA Professionalism Committee and as Law Week Treasurer. She is a member of the Orlando Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. She is also a volunteer Law Merit Badge Counselor for the Boy Scouts of America.
