Kevin M. DeMatteo is an associate in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale East office. Mr. DeMatteo concentrates in the areas of appellate practice, trial litigation support, insurance coverage, bad faith defense and general civil litigation in a broad range of practice areas.
Mr. DeMatteo earned his Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law. During his tenure in law school, Mr. DeMatteo was inducted into two of the Law School’s coveted honor societies, Moot Court and the Nova Trial Association where he competed nationally in the country’s largest trial competitions, winning a National Championship at the Buffalo-Niagara Mock Trial Invitational 19′ and placing as a Semi-Finalist in The South Texas Mock Trial Challenge 19′. Additionally, Kevin served as President of the Intellectual Property Law Society, and maintained an active membership within the prestigious Presidents’ 64.
Mr. DeMatteo earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Florida Gulf Coast University. During his undergraduate studies, Kevin concentrated on Environmental and Sustainability Education.
Prior to working at Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A. as a Supervised Practice Associate, Kevin was a summer associate and law clerk at Cole, Scott & Kissane, as well as an intern for the City of Bonita Springs Chamber of Commerce.
