Karly A. Wannos is a partner in the firm’s West Palm Beach office. Ms. Wannos’ practice focuses on defending employers at the administrative, trial, and appellate levels in all aspects of employment litigation, including lawsuits alleging discrimination, harassment and retaliation in violation of federal, state and local laws, as well as equal pay claims, unemployment compensation, workers’ compensation retaliation, whistleblower, and wrongful termination. Ms. Wannos also has extensive experience in minimum wage and overtime claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Ms. Wannos’ practice extends beyond litigation, as she conducts diversity trainings for both management and/or staff, to assist companies in preventing discrimination and harassment in the workplace. Ms. Wannos prepares, reviews, and updates Employee Handbooks and other employment policies, as well as drafts employment contracts, separation agreements, and releases. Ms. Wannos also counsels clients on various day-to-day employment issues, including investigation of employee complaints. Ms. Wannos also regularly assists employers on issues arising under wage and hour laws, including the proper classification of exempt and non-exempt employees.
