Jossie Viera is an associate at the Firm’s Miami office. She concentrates her practice on first party property litigation.

Ms. Viera graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. She was a member of Sigma Phi Alpha Chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma, Criminal Justice Honor Society and graduated in the top of her class. Subsequently, she attended Florida International University College of Law, where she received her Juris Doctorate, magna cum laude. While in law school, she was a staff member of Law Review. Additionally, she was on the Dean’s List for Fall 2012, Spring 2013, Fall 2013, Spring 2014, Fall 2014, and Spring 2015. She received the Book Award for obtaining the highest grade in Legal Skills and Values II (Spring 2013), Administrative Law (Summer 2014), Alternative Dispute Resolution (Fall 2014), Evidence (Spring 2015), and Florida Constitutional Law (Summer 2015). Also, during law school, Ms. Viera interned for the Honorable Barbara Lagoa at the Third District Court of Appeal.

After graduating from law school, Ms. Viera worked as an attorney for Children’s Legal Services for almost four years representing Florida Department of Children and Families in dependency and termination of parental rights proceedings under Chapter 39, Florida Statutes. In September 2019, she was presented with the Excellence in Partnership Award in recognition of her efforts to strengthen relationships, foster community spirit, and support her team members in Florida’s Child Welfare System.
