James Sparkman practices personal injury and wrongful death litigation in areas of automobile negligence, construction risks, trucking claims defense, premises liability, product liability, dram shop litigation, and medical malpractice defense. He has tried more than 400 cases to verdict. He is experienced in insurance coverage litigation, bad faith and appellate practice, having appeared before the Florida Supreme Court. Mr. Sparkman previously managed his own firm, which was rated as a “Preeminent Law Firm” by Martindale-Hubbell.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism followed by a Master of Science in English Education at the University of Tennessee. He graduated from law school at Nova Southeastern University.
Mr. Sparkman is an experienced trial lawyer and has tried cases throughout the State of Florida, from Key West to Panama City, as well as the U.S. Virgin Islands since his admission to the Florida Bar. He has been a Florida Bar Board-Certified Civil Trial Lawyer since 1996. He holds an AV performance rating from Martindale-Hubbell and is admitted to the Southern and Middle Districts of the U.S. Federal Courts.
Mr. Sparkman is also a two-time recipient of the prestigious “Golden Gavel” award for trial excellence.
